DAISIES
(3months-1year)
Our Baby Unit looks after babies from three
to twelve months with an optimum ratio of one staff member to
every three children. This ratio may be altered when caring for
many young babies, allowing more staff to attend your baby’s
needs.
The unit has three main rooms: a sleeping
room equipped with comfortable cots, a changing room with two
well equipped changing stations and an activity room for your
baby to play and have the love and attention that they need at
that age.
 
Babysitting
Babysitting is available for children of
all ages up to a maximum of 2 hours and can be booked in advance
on an adhoc basis.
Holiday Club
A holiday club is available during the
school holidays for children from 4-7 years old. The club has a
packed timetable of activities to stimulate your child in a
variety of ways.
After-School Club
The After School Club provides your child
with an environment to interact with other children, but also to
enable them to read, finish their homework and have their tea.

BLUEBELLS
(1-2
years)
The Toddler room takes children at
around 12 months. Up to twenty four months the
children are supervised at all times by highly qualified
staff within a ratio of one staff member to every three
children.
The Toddler room has a range of toys, books and other
activities aimed both towards the younger children, who
might not be that steady on their feet, and the older
Toddlers who are able to partake in more structured
activities and play.
DAFFODILS
(2-3 years)
The older toddler room takes children
from twenty four months-3 years. In this room the staff
ratio is one adult to every four children. It provides a
variety of stimulating activities that staff take quality
time to plan and implement. All the equipment and resources
are suitable for the ages of children and are always updated
regularly. Staff also work in partnership with
parents/carers when the time comes to toilet train and
always share information and ideas to help support the
children.

Crèche
The crèche provides day care from 0.3
months years
upwards and can be booked in advance on an adhoc basis. Crèche "drop-off" sessions are morning, afternoon or
all day.

BUTTERCUPS
(3-4years)
The ‘pre-school’ environment is
intended to help to make the transition from nursery to
school a gentle and positive experience for both you and
your child.
The pre-school children are cared for from about their third
birthday until they leave for school. The children are
supervised at all times within a staff ratio of one staff
member to eight children. Your child will be cared for as an
individual with their own personality. We will encourage
your child to develop at their own pace, learning through
fun and fascinating activities set out each day.
Various themes are adopted every few weeks throughout the
year. These themes are integrated into many activities
during the day and the children’s work is celebrated through
attractive displays throughout the area.
While the majority of our activities focus around the
integral part of children’s learning — play, we do also
provide structured, learning activities within their play in
accordance with the national curriculum.

Our Staff
We take pride in have highly qualified staff.
At
The Barn Nursery we have 6 fully qualified member of staff and 2
Nursery assistants.
Many of our staff have also been trained in
other areas and taken on different roles within the
setting such as: SENCO, Child Protection, First Aid.
